The frame is a hexagon shape made out of wood and hand stained with three layers of a glossy mahogany stain. It is a rich dark brown color that enhances the natural beauty of the wood and also highlights the bumblebee design.
The bumblebee design was hand drawn and then laser engraved into the dish. It is protected by a layer of crystal clear resin.
